We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career who is smart, curious, entrepreneurial and interested in becoming very good at something difficult.
Ever look at a commercial building and think your name would look pretty good on a sign out front? Big letters. Maybe obnoxiously big. Good. We should probably talk.
THIS IS Commercial Real Estate. Buildings, businesses, investments, negotiations, problems and, when we do our jobs correctly, money. Experience is helpful. It is not the point.
We can teach prospecting, market analysis, contracts, negotiation and how a deal gets from an idea to a closing. What is harder to teach is curiosity, judgment, persistence and the instinct to figure something out when nobody has handed you the answer.
Because we are not particularly interested in remaining one. We are building a company, and that creates a different opportunity than simply occupying a seat inside an organization that was fully built before you arrived. Good ideas do not have to travel through seven committees before somebody is allowed to have one. Responsibility tends to find capable people quickly.
That is not attractive to everyone. It should be attractive to you.
If you are looking for a predictable job where someone tells you what to do, you do it, and every other Friday the same amount of money appears in your checking account, there are considerably easier ways to make a living. Commercial Real Estate rewards initiative, persistence, relationships, judgment and the ability to create opportunities where none were obvious before.
If that sounds interesting, send us your resume. Or send us a thoughtful introduction. Surprise us.
